She's quite bright, and a very shrewd politician. And can you imagine Bill as the First Gentleman? It will be so great to have him back after these looooong, dreadful years.

Speaking of which, you know how we're all supposedly waiting for General Petraeus to issue his September report on Iraq? Well, guess what. The LA Times is reporting that it will be written by the White House with input from officials throughout the government. So, first of all we have General "Betrayus" himself predicting last May that the September report would be positive. Then we've had Bush saying for months that we can't change course in Iraq before Petraeus issues his September report. And Bush has been saying for YEARS that decisions in Iraq must come from his generals on the ground, not politicians in Washington. And we all knew that was baloney because this entire war has been run by politicians, not generals on the ground. Well, here's the first confirmation that the long awaited September report will be total Washington BS written by the same people who got us into this mess.

And as a further exercise in BS, Washington leaked that Petraeus will likely call for a "partial pullback" in troop levels. But if you look closer than the headlines, this "partial pullback" could easily mean (and surely will mean) that some troops will simply be pulled out of areas where violence has decreased, and moved to areas where it has increased. Overall troop levels may not decline one bit as a result of this so-called "partial pullback". In other words, it's just more of the same troop redeployment that has been going on throughout the course of the war. But Washington just happens to be leaking word of it now in hopes to quiet the calls for troop reductions in Congress. We're so used to being lied to and misled!
