UVE looking good on earnings news
Universal Insurance Holdings Inc. (UVE) reported on Monday second-quarter net income of $17.6 million, or 43 cents a share, compared with net income of $1.97 million, or 5 cents a share, in the same period in 2006.
<singh> Universal Insurance, a Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based insurance holding company, reported in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission revenue and premiums earned for the period ended June 30 of $53.4 million. The company reported revenue and premiums earned of $9.1 million in the second quarter of 2006.
