dilleet, c'mon...Human rights?? Like these guy are being tortured?? What we call "prison" in this country is like a freakin' holiday for most people around the world. Give me a break. You need to get out of the US for once in your sheltered little life and I don’t mean to flying to the Ivory Coast and lying round on a sunny beach for a week.

We (the US) practice exactly what we preach. The fact that we don't hook up batteries to these guys shows just that. These guy’s have good food, plenty of water etc.. Probably have better beds to sleep on then they did at home. That is not to mention these guys are BAD GUYS.

The reason for any international disdain exists has nothing to do with any of this crap. It has all to do with fact that we have freedom and prosperity in this country and they just don't like it. It’s just like most poor people in this country. They hate the rich not because of anything they have done, but merely because they have something they want more than anything but can’t have. Thus, it has to be the rich persons fault, I’m mean...I’m an American, I deserve to be wealthy. And, I shouldn’t have to work long and hard for it...no...the Governemnt should just give it to me.

These people want what we got but are not willing to work for it. They want what we have over night, and if they don't get it over night, then they'll just scream and yell and put the blame on us. Just like you see happening in Iraq now. Heck, how long did it take for the US to establish itself as a prosperous self-sufficient country? A very long time with *many* lives lost creating it because evil never passes up the opportunity to stick its ugly head in. How long will it take Iraq to become a good nation? My guess is a very long time, probably not until the next generation. Nothing good happens over night. Sure you could probably give these people in Iraq what they want, but five or ten years down the road that country will be worst all then it was with Saddam or the Taliban ruling it. These people don’t know what is good for them. How could they, they have had their human rights abused for so long, they don’t know good from bad, let alone right from wrong, or how to create a good government that will allow them to be free and prosper.
