Mai..I'm in area where DSL and cable end about 2 miles down the road. I have seperate phone line for this dial-up but am getting rid of it today..just going to connect to and use the house phone line. Save a few bucks. Wife and I have our own seperate cell phones anyways with Cingular and have free nation-wide long distance with them. Sure is neat to call from or to LasVegas, Niagara Falls, Myrtle Beach and PanamaCity Beach FLA for free on some trips or family has been on. IF it weren't for the internet, I wouldn't even have a land line house phone.

I am fortunate I suppose that all my family..and her family..all live with in local (30~40 miles or so) calling distance. Always has been like that.

Don't hold you're breath on your kids paying you back..LOL..
23 year old Jr owes me about 8K before he finally got on his feet good..almost 19 year old daughter who recently just left the nest owes about 3K and still growing..the way I looked at it was as long as they're home and abide my rules there's relatively no charge..within reason. BUT as soon as they wanted to 'move out' and do their 'own thing'..my tally starts!..LOL..

Whew..having said that..I better go try and find me a HOT stock!
