.. omg ... I always stayed a healthy distance . .but ... I would take fresh eggs .. & walk timidly up to a couple of them .. and lay them down right in front .... oh my ... they loved eggs .. loved em ... every night they got the highest 'grain ' dog good .. hardly any protein ... that was usually the cheapest kind .. that you wouldn't dare feed any dog .... the vet told us ... that was the best ... etc..

one night ... we were at the kitchen table .. with just the 'screen slider closed - nothing else .. laughing , talking etc.. then ... the big guy .. started opening the door .. I almost died ... jumped up .. and over & shut the glass one ... slowly .. but surely .. .. so sweet ... that was sorta when I was 'first ' around them .. later it was different ... actually ... I think two or so were living in the chimney.. as .. one day I was out at the .. way .. other end of the yard ... looking way down below .. it was bright & sunny .. and beautiful .... when I turned to start back .. I had a huge view of the house ... saw 'something ' .. didn't really know what I saw .. looked off and on as I was walking back up .. and ... honest to gosh it was one of em .... peeking out from the top of chimney .... so .. so ......precious... we just assumed there were two up there .. really did not know for sure .. they never ever bothered anyone ...

I have seen a cat really hurt by one ... but not on purpose .. they were playing .. almost like dancing .. then .. the raccoon reached out his 'sharp ' little hand and oh ..... big rip in the side of the cat .... off to the er .. naturally this happened at night .... no vet open .. but .. surgery ... recuperation ... cat was fine .. in time ...


it was an accident .. I have never seen a raccoon vicious .. never ..

If they just didn't bring their whole darn family with them .. I mean at that house .. they ..had granpa, granma ..the kids which were pretty big .. not as big as granpa though ... then the kids , kids .. sheeeesh ... one night we counted and there was 22 ... plus the skunks .. 3 .. one bigger one .. 2 smaller ones .. .. so much fun ...did I tell you they swam too ??? .. in the pool ..;)

well ... , now you know my raccoon & skunk & cat story ... LoL .........
