Daly City is the only town that actually borders San Francisco. It was named after the famous John Daly, (who was famous for having a city named after him). The Daly City coast (where I live) is the foggiest spot in the country - considerably foggier than even San Francisco. In summer the fog can sometimes last six weeks without ever clearing once.
