Actually, your points are spot-on. The fact that it is seeing higher highs and higher lows, bodes well for our short-term future IMO. Another note worth commenting on, is that it didn't completely fall apart during today's dip. In the past it would have given back all of the small gains its made on Friday, but instead it held its suuport and managed to close even. Thats especially important because it implies that whoever the huge buyer was on Friday, seconds before the bell, is still holding. Now this could change on another small uptick or two, but for now it means whomever it was is holding out for higher gains.

IMO tomorrow will be much like today, except we'll not give back the gains. In fact, if we see a buying surge it may actually run more than we saw today.
