That's the only way it makes sense to me too. No one would give away an asset at a 90% discount. The plan does make sense to me if we're retaining a large to very large percentage ownership in the vehicle that would take Kite public.
I have to admit though, that I don't know why they couldn't have taken Kite directly public as an IPO. But, if the plan works, I'm not going to complain.
