UkrainaTV-Wavexpress, TV-Tonic

Talked to Vasyl Kapeniak, head of UkrainaTV after going to the website to purchase access to Ukraine television. I told him what our initial impressions were, offered a couple suggestions. He was very cordial and was happy for the feedback. He had left Ukraine for North America about 10 years ago. He is extremely pleased with Wavexpress and plans to use them for SEVERAL other country feeds of other previous Soviet block countries like Lithuania.

Overall he is so impressed with WAVEXPRESS that he even bought a significant number of shares of WAVX!!

The entire process with Wavexpress from his initial phone call to them was completed within 2 months of the initial contact.

The only complaint with Wavexpress was that he wants the website to be more user friendly, "so even a 6 year old can use it". Now he feels there are too many clicks to get the job done. I believe Wavexpress is willing to work with him on this. With dial up it did take almost a half hour to go through the installation of TV-Tonic. I am expecting it of course to be a lot quicker with broad band which I have at my office.

My impression was I guess relatively positive for only having a dial up connection at home. Mr. Kapeniak told me you really need a broadband connection to get the video feed well. This wasn't totally clear at the website so I suggested he explain this on the site better so dial up people don't waste time and get a bad experience, with their content downloading and with the time needed to download TV-Tonic. The radio works fine on dial up and you can get a few minutes of video even with dial up.

The other suggestion was that I was trying to pay and couldn't find out how to do this. (kinda important to me as a stockholder) He hadn't made it clear that the service was free until Jan 4, (we began Dec. 26.)

He suggested the best plan for me is to use a lap top at my office where I have DSL broadband and download the numerous hours of video (he said just leave it connected to the web site for an hour or so and the 14 hours or so of new programming every two weeks should be all downloaded on your hard drive and then bring the laptop home and play it on my TV. TV-Tonic software replaces the old programming with the new when you reload so your hard drive space doesn't get cluttered. They even have instructions on the website on how to play your lap top on your TV.

My wife felt the content was good and after watching the TV there personally myself I felt the material he brings back is a good mix of the 20 some channels they now get over there at least at my in laws house. Even the capitalistic commercials.

I will let you all know how the laptop downloading, and playback on my TV works but it may be a week or so until I get to it. Should help my wife feel more connected to her homeland. Fact that he bought WAVX stock IMHO speaks volumes, .....he is very impressed with our technology and said it out classes our only competition he sees which is JUMP TV (haven't checked this out) Wavexpress personnel he said was and is great to work with.
