Getting ready to purchase an 802.11 wireless network.

Is "g" a waste of money? Should I buy "b"?

Any brand better than another? I'm looking at D-Link and Link-Sys.

I'll be using this to connect my notebook to my desktop.
I'm running "RoadRunner" cable modem.
