Kool fishincanuck67, let me know how it turns out when you get around to trying it.

My Grandmother used to grow all her own spices, made her own sauce from garden grown tomatoes and canned it.
She made her own almost baseball size meat balls with Italian sausage the kind that come swirled in a ring [You can get it at an Italian butcher shop. And then pork neck bones [The bones really give it the taste] not much meat on them though.
All the meat would be cooked in the oven first then thrown into the sauce to cook all day long.

Graded Romano cheese really gives it the taste along with your favorite pasta and some french bread toasted in an electric oven with garlic butter spread all over it.
