Re: Now 11 days later AMD announces the Barcelona, eventhough according to this announcement, "systems from AMD platform partners beginning to ship in September 2007". Are these people on drugs? Really these are incoherent statements and press releases that, when put together, make this company look foolish. Yet there are greater fools buying AMD shares.

And even greater fools are designing AMD based systems.... I wonder how many of AMD's hard earned OEM partners have decided to work harder with Intel for the next round of designs...?

Re: I am guessing there was pressure on AMD to "fess up" and stop being so illusive and coy about Barcelona. And yet even this announcement is full of "plans", "intends", "expects' etc.

Again, I can only imagine what AMD's partners are feeling. You are expecting chips, and you get garbage that's slow and buggy as hell. Meanwhile, AMD announces something completely different to the rest of the world. So you wait for something better, and what do you get...? More garbage and excuses, over and over again. This must be infuriating to customers....
