Official AMD Barcelona (Re)Announcement

Expect another (Re)(Re)Announcement. You see, on June 18, 2007 the following article appears, with this glaring AMD statement:

According to AMD spokesman Jon Carvill,... “We will announce the processor as soon as our partners are ready to ship systems,”

Now 11 days later AMD announces the Barcelona, eventhough according to this announcement, "systems from AMD platform partners beginning to ship in September 2007". Are these people on drugs? Really these are incoherent statements and press releases that, when put together, make this company look foolish. Yet there are greater fools buying AMD shares.

I am guessing there was pressure on AMD to "fess up" and stop being so illusive and coy about Barcelona. And yet even this announcement is full of "plans", "intends", "expects' etc.

One never knows when things will turn for the better for AMD, but right now...
