GB,
When the Taurus blew the oil pan gasket I couldn't figure out immediately what the problem was. I took it to a tune up shop and had them read the codes. (I have a code reader, but it only goes up to 1995) They pointed out some sensors they said was causing the problems. I spent over $150 replacing the designated sensors. The problem was still there.
I told my wife, "Screw it, let's trade the POS in on a new one".
After all of the rebates we paid about $12k for an $18k vehicle.
When I tried to trade it on a new one, they wanted to give me $5k for it, and it was only two years old.
Fuck a Ford.
I hate them.
Except for my F-150.
But there will be no more Fords in my stable if I can help it.
Have fun,
Phil
P.S. Just bought an '04 Cavalier for my daughter, own an '85 Camaro, a '69 Chevelle, and a '57 Chevy 150 2dr sdn. My son has a '95 Firebird Formula.(Basically a Camaro).
Long live GM.
