Could AMD conceivably build embedded CPUs in their current fabs (using old processes), and any new CPUs be contracted out.

This would mean that they must sell a certain NUMBER of CPUs that they produce in house, and not a certain DOLLAR VOLUME.

Does anyone know which of the above is the case.
