Sirius maintains that they have exclusive agreement with Ford.
Currently Sirius radion can be dealer installed on only 10 models. That number should increase later this year. Also factory installs can be announced. If Ford announces factory installs on all cars, the stock will double. That news will remove the concerns about company's survival. I would speculate that Ford wants more perks from Sirius (cash or stock options) to do that. Sirius is , IHMO, waiting and hoping that Ford will do that anyways since people are embracing Sat. radios and Ford's sales will slow down if they don't offer Sirius.
Many people just don't get it that Sirius is better than XM in every department except name recognition and auto installs.
If Ford is 100% Sirius than Sirius will have more than 50% of automakers. It is selling 50/50 in retail already and this is considering the fact that there is just not enough plug and plays units available in stores. So there goes XM's name recognition.
Today there were 2 downgrades and an idiotic Fools article. I bet there will be something tomorrow morning. Big boys don't want to buy at $4 when they can buy at $3.
