In the absence of detailed technicals on the Hotzone basestation, you might want to refer to Vivato's kit instead and draw your own conclusions;-

You'll see their outdoor basestation runs on -48v DC which is virtually industry standard for outdoor GSM/UMTS basestations also. The typical config here is to take an input a.c. supply and rectify it to -48v DC, ususally with a bank of back up batteries (depending on site criticality)...i.e. a hub site 'WiMAX relay' would constitute an important site in my mind.

I know the Hotzone 'outdoor' basestation does have an RJ45 ethernet port, but there would still need to be a central ethernet hub on-site to provide the power in the first place (obvious really!), if Power over Ethernet was used, and then of course there are power consumption issues to consider!
