Globalnet and Komtell announced that Gopalakrishnan Suryanarayanan (Suri) has been recently appointed Chief Financial Officer. Suri brings with him vast experience in dealing with project feasibility studies, bank finance and financial structuring. Prior to joining the Koohiji Group, Suri, 53, served as Financial Controller and Assistant General Manager at Al Boom Marine in Dubai, where he performed a range of general management and finance functions.

GlobalNet Corp. reported revenue results for the month of October 2006. In the month, the company has noted an increase of revenue over direct costs of transmitting traffic, with the percentage in the wholesale IP product lines exceeding 6% for the month of October. The company provided revenue guidance for the third quarter and fourth quarter of 2006. For the third quarter, the company indicated revenue of approximate $1.6 million, with the excess of revenue over direct costs of transmitting traffic approximating 2 to 3%. For the fourth quarter, revenues are expected to increase over the third quarter, and the percentage of revenue over direct costs of transmitting traffic is also expected to increase.
