READ THIS! One person's idea of VLNT potential! This is what I picked up on the DD trail having purchased VLNT on 02/06/07 @ .0011: VideoLan Technologies (VLNT) is NOT to be confused with VideoLAN, even the logo in the current DD section I believe is NOT our VLNT. Google it, the LAN in all caps is a freeware project from a European University (France?). VLNT has registered U.S. patents for two-way video streaming from efficient, inexpensive, fast, twisted copper wire coils. It sounds like the VLNT patent of interest is this twisted copper-wire configuration that allows fast 2-way video streaming. My best guess is that the sale of these patents was not possible until after 02/08/07. Recently thereafter, VLNT saw about a month of heavy volume and 10x pps. After that, the DD trail went cold and the pps has gradually and continually slipped from there.
I have never let go of the idea, having read the VLNT patents that are currently and legitimately registered with the U.S. patent office, that VLNT patented technology will emerge as an important part of the evolution of video technology taking place all around us. Apple is diving right in with the I-phone and I-tv (those probably aren't accurate names but y'all know what I mean) Imagine this: two way video streaming accessible from your PC, TV, and hand-held device. Image that a basic patented device is key to the proliferation of this. V$L$N$T!
