NEW YORK (Reuters) - Online brokerage TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. (Nasdaq:AMTD - news) has been "talking to people in the industry all along and will continue to do that," its chief executive said in an interview with CNBC television on Wednesday
Joe Moglia also cited the need to be "very thoughtful and deliberate," given the risks involved in any potential merger deal.
Two hedge funds that control about 8.4 percent of TD Ameritrade have told the brokerage that it should merge with E*Trade Financial Corp. (Nasdaq:ETFC - news) or Charles Schwab Corp.
