One would assume that if the prions can get to the brains, the only path is through the brain blood barrier, so I see no reason of some migration out.... I would also assume that the stomach would denature the great majority of prions (chemically rather than immunologically), and thus only massive dose would provide sufficient residue to get into the blood stream through the gastrointestinal tract's wall.
