AEP bought the assets, and left the bankrupt shell. VNECQ is not AEP Networks, they'd do better finding another shell and reverse merging into it.
During bankruptcies, other companies bid for the assets, and then the BK company can pay off the major creditors. The purchasers have no interest in the bankrupt shell left over, which carries major legal baggage.
