Spoke to Dell today about Wave
Hello to many of my old waviod friends. Don't post much but do enjoy reading now and then.
Had an interesting chat with a dell tech today. He says wave upsells are picking up speed. When I dug a little deeper, many of the sales are beta tests for good size corporate clients. He was very enthusiastic about the results to date. Couldn't get real numbers, but he was VERY familiar with wave.
Beta tests vary in size and length, but most convert to full roll-out if the technology and solutions promised materialize. Look for private industry to act first in roll outs. They aren't burdened with tight budgetory scheduling.
DOD could be interesting sooner versus later because their next budget cycle, if they mirror my industry group, is October. If they are beta testing any upgrades now, we could see significant volume from them in the fourth quarter. Caution, don't hold your breath for anything in the DOD to move fast. Good news is, when they do move its usually looong term.
