Re: Articles: Good read (Not rated) 20-May-07 10:51 pm Does any one recall last year when ELNK mentioned in one of their CA city deployments about their expectations of about 18-months to a two year time frame for breakeven / profitability? Now that they're having problems with lack of subscribers and/or the structure of their present/past business model, they realize how far they were off the mark. According to that article, they have now changed those earlier predictions to 5-years to break-even, and 7-years to profitability. As one can see, Jay was NOT the only one way off the mark with his early profitability call of spring/summer 2007... It would be interesting to know how well Metro-Fi is doing with their free Model plan to attain breakeven/profitability, and the financing arrangement/terms with those two Venture Capital investors.
