The "Smart Cart" is the greatest invention since the double-play. No kidding. I can't stand standing in line. Any line. If Suzy sends me to the convenience-store for a quart of milk and a loaf of bread and I see more than three people que'd up (they're buying lottery tickets of course...."Gimme three of those and two of those...no, make if five of those and seven of those" ad nauseum)...I walk out, schlepp home and tell Suzy that they were all sold out of bread and milk. ButI love to go food shopping; I'm a whiz; I fly down the aisles, grabbing this and that, all the while fighting a growing dread of the CHECKOUT LINE, wherein I inevitably find myself behind a yutz, and it's always a female yutz, who's got seven items and pays for her major purchase that totals $7.23 by check. She roots around her "bag", a bag by the way that is large enough to hide a Boy Scout Troop, two Jehovah's Witnesses, a tennis racquet with balls, and all her cosmetics designed to make her lovely...an impossible task. Finally she finds her checkbook, but can't find a damn pen. I offer her a pen After carefully filling in the check she carefully records her activity on a stub, lest she forget and wind up with an unbalanced checking account wherein she goes to the bank for a proper reconciling and where I am again behind her.
Anyway, I love the concept of the Smart Cart, will buy the stock and hope that the Israeli firm will soon expand to the U.S.
