I watched the video.I am a union machinist.Speculation that the safe could have been 'sprayed with liquid nitrogen' is ridiculous.Typically,immersion in liquid nitrogen renders NON METALLIC substances brittle-i.e. the ubiquitous rose demonstration,where a rose,COMPRISED OF LIVING CELLULOSE MATERIAL shatters upon impact after cryogenic treatment is understood.Liquid nitrogen brings materials to under -200 F;this has some effect on metals such as cast iron,but will not render aluminum brittle to the point of the demonstration.If the safe WAS @ -200F,the metal would freeze burn the exhibitor's fingers as if he were handling the same material @ +350F or greater.There would be NO lasting deleterious affect upon cooling;if anything,the metal would be STRONGER and more resistant to blows.To negatively affect aluminum via temperature,one would have to heat it past a heat range of +1100F or greater,depending on the grade,and IMMEDIATELY IMPACT it..For Mild Steel,or cold rolled Steel,the temperatore would have to surpass the red hot stage of +1750 F,and be quenched immediately to insure Martensetic interstitial changes which begin @ 550 C,and take the time to repaint and apply decals.There are MANY grades of steel,MANY grades of aluminum,ALL of which involve heat treatment and annealing(softening) via cooling techniques..My professional opinion of the constituency of the safe's material in the video is that the safe was constructed of a low grade bauxite casting,and the video is genuine.I do not have one here at my disposal,but a simple magnet test would likely confirm this-If any of these safes exist which are constructed of 'steel',the results would likely be no different-the machining of the recesses would prove to be too costly,and the safe would be cast iron,and the thickness of the panels would yield similar results in the 'hammer test'.Cast iron is brittle,and high carbon in content,and I know,beyond a shadow of a doubt,that this 'safe' is anything but.....What good is a warranty if all your stuff is gone in 30 seconds?.....
