For those of us who are technologically challenged, you offer a lot of valuable dd. As for this morning, I think it got out of hand. I think you have some justifiable sensitivity to some of the postings. I think some of the offensive posts were done out of insensitivity/ignorance... but not meant to hurt or harm. When most people think about prejudice.. they think about skin color/race, not ethnicity. At times, too many of us are guilty of making jokes or comments about ethnic groups, without recognizing that we are stereotyping. On the other hand, I am Irish and find some of the Irish jokes pretty funny. There is a very fine line between humor and stereotyping. Personally, I try to assume the best of people and give them the benefit of the doubt. If I think they have crossed the line, with their wisecracks/jokes, I point that out and trust that they will be more sensitive in the future.
What I am trying to say is that I hope you will stick around and I many will learn and be better people as a result of this morning's exchange. All the best.
