Arch. . .he may be a good friend of yours, and that's fine with me. A good many people have different perspectives. Perhaps they can handle their perspectives a little better by coming up with their own words to their own thoughts? The dude appears to be in "attack mode" on some religious drum. I consider myself a deist. So I just sit back and let all these religious fanatics beat their drums against one another, and wonder why they can't figure it out. Our basic molecular structure is all the same. "Belief systems" are the only thing that differentiate us. Look at your friend's last post. He continues to try and create a battle out of something he clearly cannot win. I wish him well in life. Because obviously. . .his shot at ridding the world of evil appears to take a stance against groups of people. . .rather than the roots of the cause. And. . .he still gets drawn into conversation. . .by insisting to bring others into his debate. ??? What's up with the dude? Is he trying to prove something? I believe Americans and the rest of the freedom and peace seeking world need to stand up for peace. They need not attack other individuals or groups, beliefs. When someone takes a hard-line stance that professes to support their belief system. . .that is fine. However, there is a difference between passion and ignorance. And yes. . .

I have read the Koran (yes, that is how it is spelled in America), studied Buddhism, read the Bible and the Book of Morman. As a child (living in Utah) I was not permitted to participate in certain sports because I was a Catholic. I was encouraged by the Mormons to read their prophet's book (Joseph Smith). . .the Book of Mormon. I thought it was interesting, but I did not buy into their belief. I believe there are many great Islamic people and Muslims. Honest-to-God good-hearted human beings stem from every religious belief and any other system based on morality. There is also "evil" within all of the ranks. I also believe that the intellectuals that we have put into office (throughout the world) are competent enough to make appropriate decisions in order that innocent lives are not taken during any retaliation. Even if there are only a hundred people in Afghanistan that stand for "freedom" or "peace," their souls should be spared. Now. . .everyone within their right mind would agree that the terrorists need to be weeded out. And nobody would argue the point that "terror" can be construed to mean many things. However. . .I just don't enjoy the way that your friend poses his hypothesis and states his/her beliefs. Therefore. . .I exercise the right not to listen to their rhetoric. And by all means. . .
