Isn't it funny how much emphasis some in our community put into public displays? We also handled it the same way with our parents as you & Dan...I felt if it took me 22 years to come out and accept who I was, how in the hell could I expect my family to understand overnight. I have to say I was lucky with my crazy Italian family, I had very little problems with the gay issue.
( except of course My Mother who cried and blamed my Father for not taking me to baseball games) My entire family loves David, and if I ever do anything to hurt him I would pay dearly!
