your observations about the motivations of brilliant people, in a way, substantiates my point. If a person is motivated by the opportunity to do interesting and brilliant work, and the environment at company A and company B each afford such an environment, a person will be indifferent as to which he would prefer to work in. there is career change inertia in such situations. recruiters have to mitigate such enertia. while the availability of other factors may be determinative, MONEY is the most efficient lubricant to overcome job satisfaction enertia.
