if they needed to recruit six 'Hardjono's', to capture the value of exponentiallly growing demand, and were constrained to only hire two such individuals, because of a stingy options pool, then the company would be 'crippled' or, perhaps more literally, the company could be overtaken by the nascent competion and creamed. in my mind its only a matter of semantics which description you prefer. if Wave were a dairy, i would be offended by the options plan, but Wave needs to recruit engineers, physicists, and the like, not cows.
