Bruce could you please help me resolve this problem, with my wireless key board and mouse

I disconnected my computer to clean out the dust, when I restarted it the mouse and key board it would not work, so I connected my wired mouse and key board and un-installed the software for the wireless, when I tried to re-install it tells me I first must remove the original software for the wireless. I un-installed from add or remove programs so its no longer there, and if I do a search I do find files for the wireless, but it won't let me do anything with those files
