Gary: You are absolutely correct. Business's don't care about the lowly shareholders - they are regarded more as a necessary nuisance. The big boys always take care of No. 1 FIRST.
I bought into Delta Airlines at .65 cents, rode it up to 1.40 and couldn't get out the door fast enough. As I previously stated, bankruptcy isn't always the 'kiss of death' to a company. I think Huff's termination was a strategic move and a prelude to something else - namely, a Chapter 11.
Chapter 11 is a 'protective' bankruptcy. It allows companies to rethink their position, develop new strategic goals and formulate a plan with which to achieve them while under the protective umbrella of the courts.
Yes, Gary, the shareholders have to bite the bullet and usually end up swallowing it as well. But, for the company, it might be a good thing.
No man should be considered totally useless....because he can always serve as a bad example.
