One huge unknown is the wording of the NOK contract. It's easy to imagine the worst: that it contains terms & conditions that would limit what NOK owes if certain patents were found to be invalid. If that were so, then NOK's actions become easy to interpret.

One of the things that always worries me about this board - and about my investment in IDCC - is the volume of opinion and/or wishfull thinking that is posted as fact, or where posters emphasize the potential positives while ignoring potential negatives. Thus - this is my opinion only - no facts.

I'm not suggesting that the contract does contain terms & conditions that could minimize what NOK owes, but I am suggesting that NOK's actions would be much easier to understand in that case. Otherwise, I find NOK's tactics to be odd.
