Or another reason may be that the annual payments were set up by someone who is no longer with GTEM. If that person's email was the primary for the account (web hosting), then renewals would have went to the old email address.
Also causing a slower correction may be that the person who set that account up may have set up a password that others won't know and so no one can get into the account. That scenario sometimes takes at least a few days to resolve.
