Cal_Law: Sounds like he confirmed to you what he told me - that Gateway has not yet delivered these units to customers or stores, but is doing it's best to get them there as soon as possible.

I never asked him anything about volume or order sizes. He did tell me that the expected delivery date for online orders was 12/17/03. Are you saying he denied saying that? Why would that information be secret?

He also told me that Gateway did not expect to have any store inventory prior to Christmas. Others have been told the same thing by store managers. Are you also saying he denied saying that too?

You later changed your story in #msg-1830013 to say that rather than some sort of "categorical denial," that Braxton "merely refused to confirm" what I posted. Which is it? Categorical denial or refusal to confirm?

FWIW, I posted what he said. Nothing more, nothing less. If I were making it up, why would I include his name and phone number? Why wouldn't I just say I spoke to a "rep" like niz does?

If he has been inundated with calls (quite likely), perhaps he has decided to no longer confirm what he told me or perhaps you have simply put your own spin on the matter.

The way you are dancing around this and playing with words shows a lack of forthrightness IMO. I know what I was told and perhaps others have been given the same information I was given.
