Marty, I don't know if you have been in the military, but I don't want this post to offend you.

People at your age who joined the military and fought in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, ect, are proud of themselves because they were drafted or enlisted - and they have every right to be.

Today, it's different. Kids who join the military today are kids who are not going to college, and have displinary problems. I'm not in anyway one of those kids. I don't want to ruin an important part of my life by joining the military. I excercise, but I'm not fit enough and much too lazy to be doing pointless drills and excercises. At 20 years old, I have accomplished more than 99% of the people in the United States (financially) and I would be very out of place in the military. I wear polo shirts with khakis, Donna Karen and RRL jeans, and drive a mercedes. I would probably get beaten up in the military for being such a preppy.

No offense, but it's just not for me. I commend the bravery of those who do join, but if I were drafted, I'd rather go to jail than to get killed in war. I take more pride in my mental ability than my pathetic physical ability. I'm good at basketball though, I started varsity in high school.

Signed,
Joemoney =D
