If you download the Free 10 day trial of Automatic Investor you can play with this function. AI includes a parameter called "Control Increment" (which incidentally was developed by Jack Park of thinkalong.com fame). This allows you to perform historical back-tests adding any value from 0 to 100%, inclusive, to the Portfolio Control after a buy.
If you find a value you like, you can then use it to manage a real AIM portfolio.
