how quickly Obama is learning to play the game like the rest of em.
FWIW - I have been slowly getting up to speed on Obama, and last Sunday met with some organized supporters here in Hawaii. So far I really like what I have seen and read.
What originally caught my eyes and ears was this speech on balancing Faith and Politics. It really struck a chord with how I feel: http://www.barackobama.com/issues/faith/
For the most part, Barack avoids criticism of the other candidates and current administration - sometimes to the point of frustration of those that support him.
Was also surprised to find out that he is NOT accepting corporate donations, and placed limits on what individuals can contribute. I wrote a check for a few hundred, and found out I am now considered a major supporter!!??
He doesn't have the war chest of money, or the Clinton era database to draw from - so besides the obvious hurdles, lack of money will definitely be a factor in his campaign. '
He is scheduled to campaign on Oahu later this year, and the group I met with is working hard on getting him to stop over on Maui for a day or two and speak.
