It's not quite so that you have to reboot. What you really need to do is release and renew your DHCP. The simplest way for them to tell yo uwhat to do is reboot.

Get to a command prompt "Run 'cmd' type ipconfig /release', wait, and type 'ipconfig /renew'. You'll get a new lease, and off you go ...

I think. Worked for me. YMMV, and this networky stuff scares me.
