Seriously, though, a higher bandwidth connection won't help you on the Internet very much, but in home or corporate networks, it comes in pretty handy. I tried transferring quite a bit off my desktop system one day and found that it took hours just to copy several gigabytes of files through the wireless connection. While the 'Droids might consider this "proof" that I should have gotten an 802.11g adapter, I'll remind people that transferring gigabytes of files from my desktop is not a routine thing for me. It might only happen once in the life of this particular laptop. For 99.99% of what I do - which primarily involves the Internet - my Centrino laptop has many times more than enough bandwidth to saturate my DSL connection. In fact, it's still the envy of everyone who has seen it.
