To me this is no big mystery. Raytheon wanted to show some of its potential customers that are interested in the combination of low altitude strat and the Raytheon equipment, that both are in reasonable stages of development and solid enough to plan for in the near future.

Raytheon is not in the business of developing a strat, and somehow, through prior associations and now Dr. Muntz, has reason to believe that GTEM will have a strat up at the altitude they need it, in the time frame they need it to satisfy this or these customers.

The goal of Raytheon was to secure a contract of one or more of its potential customers to purchase (or lease) a strat equipped with the Raytheon electronics. Raytheon is looking to provide a system solution for a customer and feels that Globetel is far enough along to convince the customer(s) that it (Raytheon) can provide the solution with the use of a Globetel strat.

This is all imo but I've been in engineering leadership positions for 25 yrs, working with marketing and customers, and nothing else makes much sense to me.

Good Luck to us all - and kudos to the K team for streamlining the business and getting us to a place where a company like Raytheon believes in us enough to use our strat as part of their system solution.
