Never was any. That's the sad thing about our society. We do everything for the sake of the "integrity of the family" without considering the impact this has for families that are doing their best to raise their children in "the right way". I have seen so much crap as a volunteer in the school system that I could spend days regugitating the garbage that I consumed. Glad to be out of there. With that being said, there was a lot of positive as well. There are still some very dedicated teachers and administrators out there. Why? I have no clue. Their hands are so tied that when in a confrontaion with a student they aren't even legally allowed to defend themselves. One very good teacher that I know was recently "tranferred",i.e. disciplined by the school board for defending herself from a violent student with a record. She was fortunate that many of us went to bat for her. Otherwise she would have been fired. She went to Ireland. Go figure. She'd rather face the conflict between the Catholics and the Protestants there than teach in Florida schools. SH
