Nexus Minerals expands Payns Find gold target

Nexus Minerals Ltd managing director Andy Tudor talked with Proactive about the latest exploration success at the Payns Find gold target, part of the company's Wallbrook Gold Project in Western Australia. Tudor described the program as “exciting” following a third air core drilling campaign that confirmed high-grade intercepts and significantly expanded the mineralised footprint. He said, “All of the attributes for a big system are here,” highlighting consistent grades of up to 5.99g/t at the extremities of a 900m by 750m target zone. The air core results revealed both supergene and fresh rock mineralisation, with around 30% of the 163 holes showing elevated geochemistry in the final metre — a strong indicator of a large underlying system. “It’s that grade in the supergene and in the fresh rock that’s got us excited,” Tudor said. He also pointed to the presence of a full suite of alteration minerals — cerussite, rutile, tourmaline, and albite — typically associated with major gold systems in the region. With the air core phase now complete, Nexus is turning to reverse circulation (RC) drill planning. Tudor confirmed that air core drilling would continue regionally, while the company prepares for a comprehensive RC program at Payns Find to test depth extensions down to 120–150m. Ananda Pharma adds former GW Pharmaceuticals executive as strategic advisor, advances MRX1

Ananda Pharma Plc finance director Jeremy Sturgess-Smith talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the appointment of Chris Tovey as a strategic advisor. Tovey brings significant experience from his time as chief operating officer at GW Pharmaceuticals and later Jazz Pharmaceuticals. According to Sturgess-Smith: “He’s going to bring all that experience to Ananda,” helping guide the company through its regulatory path and corporate development. Sturgess-Smith also touched on Ananda securing ethics approval to begin its first human trial of MRX1, a key milestone for the company’s therapeutic pipeline. He noted this was the first ethics approval of its kind for any Ananda trial, with recruitment expected to begin shortly in Australia. “It’s very, very exciting to have that ethics approval in the bag,” he said. Looking ahead, the company also expects ethics approvals for studies into chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy and endometriosis in the next six months. Kodal Minerals nears completion at Bougouni Lithium project, prepares for exports

Kodal Minerals PLC (AIM:KOD) CEO Bernard Aylward takes Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through the company's latest update on its Bougouni lithium project in Mali, where construction is nearly complete and preparations for export are underway. Aylward shared that the optimisation and ramp-up phase of the processing plant has been going well, with over 11,000 tonnes of lithium concentrate already stockpiled and ready for export. "We've been making some adjustments as we go through this process and some improvements to the feed into the crusher... achieving a good product," he said. He noted that the company expects to reach nameplate capacity within the next couple of months, pending a final review and approval by the construction team. Kodal is also progressing steadily on the mining front, with a good run-of-mine (ROM) stockpile in place. The interview highlighted that the mining license transfer process is still ongoing, though Kodal has completed all compliance steps and is now awaiting sign-off from the Committee of Ministers and the President of Mali. Oriole Resources wraps up pivotal 2024, targets major gold milestones in 2025

Oriole Resources PLC (AIM:ORR) CEO Martin Rosser and CFO Bob Smeeton take Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through the company’s latest full-year results and upcoming milestones across its key exploration projects. Rosser highlighted a pivotal year for the company’s Bibemi and Mbe gold projects in Cameroon. At Bibemi, a recently completed phase five drilling campaign is feeding into a revised Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), expected this quarter. “We believe there's very good potential to not just increase the amount of gold, but also improve the category of the resource,” said Rosser. The company is also advancing an exploitation license application for the project. At Mbe, maiden drilling continues, following trenching results that indicated strong mineralisation. “We think Mbe South has significant potential to host a substantial gold deposit,” Rosser added. Smeeton detailed a £2 million reduction in operating loss and financial support from BCM International. “Since year-end, BCM have given us $1.1 million, largely replenishing CapEx,” Smeeton noted. He also confirmed progress on a joint venture agreement with Managem at the Senala project in Senegal. Rosser pointed to potential sector-wide revaluations driven by high gold prices and possible M&A activity. “Oriole’s shares are significantly undervalued,” he said.
