MP Evans posts record 2024 results, eyes growth

MP Evans Group PLC (AIM:MPE) CEO Matthew Coulson takes Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through the company’s record results for 2024 and the strong start to 2025. MP Evans Group reported a robust financial performance in 2024, with Coulson confirming a record profit and a 66% increase in earnings per share. “It’s been a fantastic year for the group,” Coulson said, noting that high pricing supported the result, with prices averaging around $820 per tonne for the year. The company processed 1.6 million tonnes of crop in 2024, maintaining output despite weather-related challenges in Indonesia. Coulson highlighted this achievement in context: while Indonesia saw a slight national decline in crop yield, MP Evans sustained high volumes, reflecting operational resilience. Planting activity also continued across its operations, particularly in South Sumatra and East Kalimantan. The company expects to exceed 11,000 hectares planted at its Musi Rawas estate in early 2025, while its ABK site in East Kalimantan is set for more extensive development this year. Coulson also noted a milestone in sustainability, with over 250,000 tonnes of certified sustainable output processed across the company’s six mills in 2024. As a leader in live biotherapeutics, Biome Australia has developed probiotics with proven benefits across various health conditions, including mental health, asthma, cardiovascular health, and skin care. The company has over 20 clinical trials validating its products in those areas including the world’s first asthma probiotic, which achieved a 64% reduction in asthma events. Biome’s practitioner-only model ensures that products are recommended by health professionals and sold behind pharmacy counters, contributing to approximately 30% of total sales. While Australia remains the core market, generating over 90% of revenue, Biome is actively expanding into New Zealand, the UK, Ireland, and Canada. Norfolk noted that early results in Canada are ahead of schedule, with further updates expected on the ASX. Instead of launching new products, Biome is focused on expanding use cases for its existing 18-product portfolio, ensuring efficient cash flow management and lower product risk. Acusensus talks global expansion and growth drivers

Acusensus Ltd Managing Director talked with Proactive at AIM's Small and Midcap Conference about the company’s progress in road safety technology, its global expansion, and the upcoming launch of a new product line aimed at road worker protection. Alex Jannink, Managing Director and Co-founder of Acusensus, explained how the company pioneered enforcement cameras targeting behaviours like mobile phone use and seatbelt compliance. “We supply these automated enforcement cameras...and we receive a fixed monthly fee essentially for those services,” he said, outlining the company's outsourced business model under long-term government contracts. While 93% of revenues currently come from Australia, Jannink confirmed growth is underway internationally, with active customers in the United States and United Kingdom. Acusensus has also secured a nationwide speed enforcement contract in New Zealand, expected to contribute significantly from the next financial year. Jannink highlighted the broader social mission behind the business: “The whole goal of the company is to change behaviours and to save lives.” He pointed to strong behavioural impacts from previous deployments, including a six-fold drop in mobile phone use and a 21% reduction in road fatalities in New South Wales. Ecora Resources sees strong 2024 results as cobalt, copper growth drive strategy

Ecora Resources PLC (LSE:ECOR, TSX:ECOR, OTCQX:ECRAF) CEO Marc Bishop Lafleche takes Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through the company’s full-year 2024 financial results and the strategic progress made across its royalty portfolio. Lafleche reported a strong performance in 2024 despite challenging market conditions, citing volume growth at Voisey’s Bay as a key highlight, even as cobalt prices approached 50-year lows. He said, “Since year-end, actually, it's amazing how quickly things can change,” pointing to a 60–70% year-to-date increase in cobalt prices.
