Element 25 delivers positive Tokyo Bay Scoping Study

Element 25 managing director Justin Brown talked with Proactive about the recent completion of the Tokyo Bay HPMSM Facility Scoping Study in partnership with Nissin Chemical Corporation. The company said the results of the scoping study were positive enough to justify advancing the project to the pre-feasibility stage. Brown explained that the Tokyo Bay site offers unique advantages, including a co-located sulfuric acid plant, deepwater port access, and supporting infrastructure critical for high-purity manganese sulfate production. “We took our learnings from the detailed work we’ve done in Louisiana… and converted them to a Japanese setting,” Brown said. He also noted that Japan's regulatory and geopolitical environment makes it an ideal location for refining and supplying the local battery market. Looking ahead, Brown confirmed that Element 25 and Nissin Chemical will conduct deeper engineering and cost analysis under their existing MOU, with a final investment decision targeted for June 2026. The next milestone will be the pre-feasibility study, expected later this year. Brown also discussed how the Tokyo Bay project fits into the company’s broader “design one, build many” strategy, which aims to establish a global network of refineries fed by ethically sourced manganese from Element 25’s Butcherbird mine. Zinnwald Lithium wins Saxony government endorsement for lithium project after robust PFS

Zinnwald Lithium PLC (LSE:ZNWD, OTC:ZNWLF) chief executive Anton du Plessis talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company’s recently published pre-feasibility study (PFS) for its Zinnwald Lithium Project, located in Saxony, Germany. The project is designed to supply battery-grade lithium hydroxide to the European market and has now received public backing from the Saxony government. Du Plessis outlined that the PFS demonstrates a scalable, long-life mining operation, starting with 18,000 tonnes per annum of lithium hydroxide and potentially scaling to 35,000 tonnes in a second phase. He stated, “We published our PFS on Monday that showed an economic project of significant scale… a globally significant project in terms of scale.” The economics were highlighted as robust, with a post-tax NPV of €2.20 billion and an internal rate of return of approximately 20%. The location of the project — 35km south of Dresden — positions it strategically at the heart of Germany and the EU, aligning with Europe’s push for regional supply chains of critical raw materials. DP Poland CEO Nils Gornall on Pizzeria 105 acquisition strategy

DP Poland PLC (AIM:DPP) CEO Nils Gornall talked with Proactive about the company’s acquisition of Pizzeria 105 in Poland for £8.5 million — a key step in its strategy to transition towards a franchise-led business model. Gornall explained that DP Poland is the master franchisee of Domino’s Pizza in both Poland and Croatia, and this latest acquisition boosts the company’s franchised store percentage from just 8% three years ago to over 50% today. “The best Domino’s businesses around the world are franchisee-led. That's where we need to be,” he said. Pizzeria 105 is the fourth-largest pizza chain in Poland, with 90 franchised stores. Gornall emphasised how this acquisition aligns with DP Poland’s strategy, highlighting the opportunity to bring Domino’s global brand power and systems to a well-established local operator. “We have the tools to help the franchisees really take it to that next level,” he said.
