Atrato Partners on Social Housing REIT (SOHO): strategy, debt and dividend outlook

Atrato Partners, the newly appointed Investment Manager of Social Housing REIT (SOHO) talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the current state of the specialised supported housing sector and how the company is tackling key challenges within its portfolio. Fund manager Adrian D'Enrico was joined by Michael Carey and Natalie Markham, offering a comprehensive update on SOHO’s operational and financial performance. D'Enrico addressed common misconceptions about the sector, clarifying that it is not temporary or homeless accommodation, but instead provides long-term homes for adults with care needs. “A misconception as well is that specialised supported housing is a passive investment based on the long lease,” he explained, underlining the importance of resident occupancy and the operational real estate nature of the assets. Carey detailed the steps taken to resolve issues with Parasol and My Space Housing Solutions, including lease transfers to stronger providers, which are expected to improve rent collection. “We’ve collected 72% of the contracted amount so far with Westmoreland, and we’re confident we’ll meet our target,” he said. Markham reviewed the FY24 results, noting that while net tangible assets declined to £0.99 per share, rent collection stood at 93% and the company maintains strong debt metrics with an average maturity of 8.6 years and a 2.74% all-in cost. Gunnison Copper advances Johnson Camp Mine construction, on track for Cathode Production in Q3 2025

Gunnison Copper SVP- Operations Robert Winton joined Steve Darling from Proactive to provide an update on the ongoing construction progress at the fully permitted Johnson Camp Mine in southeast Arizona. Speaking with Proactive, Winton confirmed that construction activities are on schedule, with the company expecting to produce copper cathode by Q3 2025. Mining of mineralized material officially began in January 2025, and the extracted material is currently being stockpiled in preparation for the completion of the leach pad. The Phase-1 leach pad has been successfully completed, while Phase-2 is advancing rapidly. Once Phase-2 is in place, the company will begin installing Nuton’s advanced processing equipment, a key step toward optimizing sulfide and oxide mineralized material processing. Gunnison Copper has also completed the redesign and construction of a state-of-the-art laboratory for on-site material and process analysis. The lab is set to begin ramping up in April 2025 and will be fully commissioned once leach pad production is underway. Additionally, the company’s HR team is making significant strides in building a strong workforce, with an emphasis on local hiring. Qualitas funds soar as banks step back

Qualitas Ltd Group Managing Director Andrew Schwartz talked with Proactive at the AIM's Small and Midcap conference about the company's differentiated position in Australia's real estate investment management landscape. Andrew Schwartz explained that Qualitas operates at scale, supported by large institutional capital. “Some of those investors literally commit amounts of 1.7 billion and above to Qualitas,” he said, noting the firm can fund projects with hundreds of millions—territory once dominated by traditional banks. Schwartz highlighted the company’s deep property expertise, developed over decades, as a key driver of performance. He said, “We are deep sector, deep dive property people,” which allows them to manage funds based not just on lending metrics but also on underlying property fundamentals. The conversation also addressed Qualitas’ notable growth in funds management revenue since its 2021 IPO. Schwartz attributed this to structural shifts in the Australian finance market, where banks still represent 77% of a AU$477 billion sector—but their share is shrinking. “We’ve really got the benefit of filling a void in the market that the bank market just can’t fill,” he said. Roughly 80% of Qualitas' activities are in the housing sector, financing large-scale residential projects rather than retail home loans. Thor Explorations says Douta-West discovery adds gold ounces for upcoming PFS

Thor Explorations Ltd (TSX-V:THX, AIM:THX, OTC:THXPF) CEO Segun Lawson talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about progress at the Douta gold project in Senegal, with a specific focus on the Douta-West licence. Lawson outlined that Thor acquired the licence a year ago and has since been advancing drilling efforts there. He confirmed the company has now made a fresh discovery, which includes oxide, free-flowing, recoverable gold material. “These are wide intersections between 12 and 20 metres wide, with very good grades between 1.3 and just over 2 grams per ton,” Lawson said. He added that the anomaly runs for approximately two kilometres and could be a significant contributor to the overall economics of the project. Lawson noted that the next step is to fully drill the strike length of the discovery zone. This will allow the company to include the newly identified ounces into its mine plan and potentially enhance the preliminary feasibility study (PFS). He also highlighted that the company is not pursuing exploration for academic purposes, but rather with a clear intent to build and deliver value to shareholders. Lawson confirmed that following the completion of the drilling campaign, Thor will provide an updated timeline for the PFS.
