I did a 5 minute search online of oil and gas proppants, they first used proppants during the late 1940s, I think in Nevada, using sand. By the 1980s, they had several oil service companies manufacturing ceramic proppants to replace the sand they were previously using, and by the later 1980s, those companies had available other fluids (if they had the money) in place of using water. But that was 35 years ago. So, while you are asking questions, be sure to ask, what new technology?

They told us what they intended to do to MJ#1 at the ASM a couple months ago, but never really said if any of that was the new technology. No questions were asked about the new technology at the ASM - really? Strange, of course, we really couldn't see what questions people were sending in, and they only answered some during the meeting.
