I got a patriotic thrill, just thing about 1776 and the 54 brave souls that signed The Declaration of Independence. Those brave men knew they could be signing their Death Warrants! Many did.

I love all of those First Americans. Even the ones that owned slaves|

5 years ago I toured Monticello The woman tour guide continually talked about Jefferson owning saves. The final stop on the tour, was Jefferson's office where he wrote much of The Declaration of Independence.. Again, she mentioned slaves.

I interrupted her.

" Excuse me. Thomas Hefferon and many flawed men life him, signed the Declaration, knowing it could cost them their lives. Those flawed men gave ech of us the lives we enjoy today.. I've heard enough about President Jefferson's slaves."
