Situation 1.
Company “X” buys BIEL, becomes company “Y” and now owns all the Class II Medical Devices along with 5 FDA Clearances. Have clearances - can sell immediately.

Situation 2.
Company “X” replicates BIEL’s products or modifies them, then must file for FDA Clearances in either case. No clearances - tough. Probably just a real simple form to fill out and wait a day or two. Nah, not really.

Also, let the Patent Attorneys figure out patent stuff in either situation. If everything was as cut and dried as you’ve claimed, that profession wouldn’t need to exist.

And don’t be so feisty, it’s only July! Cuz after all…no experts here…and…
